A new vicar

On Easter Sunday the Bishop of Leeds announced the appointment of the Revd Mike Green as the new vicar of Kildwick, Cononley and Bradley.  Our search is over!

The Revd Mike has written:

Hello everybody,

I wanted to send a quick message to you all on this exciting day. My family and I can’t wait to come and join you in the Summer. We are looking forward to getting to know you all, but in the meantime, here is a little bit about us.

I was ordained in 2019, following my training at St Mellitus College in Liverpool alongside a 3-year placement at Holy Trinity Bingley. Before my journey into ordained ministry, I was an Engineering Manager in the electrical industry. For the past three years I have thoroughly enjoyed serving my curacy in Birstall and looking after the parishes of Birkenshaw and Gomersal.

I am married to Esther, who is a primary teacher with a specialisation in languages. We have two children, Lukas (11) and Alice (10).

We are looking forward to sharing some great adventures with you, as the Lord leads us. We will be praying for you all over the next few months, and eagerly await meeting you in due course.

With love and blessings,
Mike, Esther, Lukas, and Alice.
