A View over Bradley (John Lancaster)

Lord Jesus Christ, light of this world, thank you for the hope you have given us.
Help us to give our worries to you and, above all, to trust in your unfailing love.
For you have promised us “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”
Almighty God, our protector, let us trust in you to carry us through this time of uncertainty.
Jesus, hear our cries as we mourn those who’ve left us.
Whatever tomorrow may bring, we will praise your name.

God of all hope we call on you today.
We pray for those who are living in fear:
Fear of illness, fear for loved ones, fear of others’ reactions to them.
May your Spirit give us a sense of calmness and peace.

We pray for your church in this time of uncertainty.
For those people who are worried about attending worship.
For those needing to make decisions in order to care for others
For those who will feel more isolated by not being able to attend.
Grant us your wisdom.

Holy God, we remember that you have promised that
Nothing will separate us from your love – demonstrated to us in Jesus Christ.
Help us turn our eyes, hearts and minds to you.

Loving Lord, You are my hope and my strength in time of trouble.
You are my ever present help in this difficult world and Lord,
I know that You hold the future in the palm of Your hands and I trust You.

Thank You, that You are always there to provide for my needs and to protect me from the storms of life.
I pray that no matter what the future holds, that You will remain there beside me.
I know Lord, that no matter how difficult things become in this world that You have promised never to leave me nor forsake me,
but I also know that in this world I will have tribulation and trials,
and I pray that You will be with me through all that I face in the future.

You are my hope and You are my strength.
You have promised that no matter how difficult life becomes,
Your grace is sufficient for all my needs.
Help me to rely on You no matter what problems
and difficulties arise, for my hope is in You.
